Welcome to the wonderful world of Snapchat. If you haven't downloaded this, get it for free via the app store, google play or whatever it is on your mobile. Once that's done and you've created an account, you may feel lost and start asking, "How do I use this exactly?"
Don't worry. We thought it would be good to put together this quick guide on what to do and not to do on Snapchat:
1. Do not scream or shout when you're filming
Your followers may find it irritating to their ears especially if they have their speakers on. Just talk normally for a maximum of 15 seconds, replay and decide if you're satisfied to upload it.
2. Do add captions or drawings
There are typing and doodling options for you to edit your photos and videos. Go ahead and express your creativity!
3. Do not shake too much when you're filming
Because obviously, your viewers will grow sick and dizzy so shoot with steady hands please.
4. Do note that Snapchat eats up data
This app can be seriously addictive which explains why you're constantly checking out new stories. Posting and viewing clips and photos consume data so if your mobile plan is limited, beware. Turn on your flight mode, post your items as per normal then re-post them only when you have wifi. It'll save you from bursting your data plan.
5. Do not change the shooting orientation
Your followers are probably watching your stories in the portrait mode so stick to that. Change to landscape shooting only when necessary - like getting the gorgeous backdrop into your clip.
